Drawing inferences from historical maps

Students learned to find historical maps for evidence to document that their now flooding school is

located in the heart of what was an enormous salt marsh ecosystem.  We added an arrow to this map, provided by the Halsey Collection at the Preservation Society of Charleston, to indicated where

their school property was in 1869!
